Crystal Palace boss Peter Taylor will hand Julian Speroni a run-out for the final two games of the campaign.
Speroni, 27, has found it difficult to forge his way into Taylor’s line-up, making just two appearances this term.
He was recalled against Derby in December after GABOR KIRALY went on loan to Aston Villa, Everton loanee Iain Turner was injured and Scott Flinders was out of favour.
But a groin injury put Speroni back on the sidelines and he was unable to regain his place. As Palace have nothing to play for, manager Taylor feels the former Dundee stopper deserves a chance to impress.
Taylor said: “I do intend to take a look at Julian, because I think I owe that to him. He’s a tremendous professional, and has been a little bit unlucky with injuries this season.
“He’s played well whenever he's been called upon, and he's a good lad to have around the place. I always intended to take a look at him for at least a couple of games if I can.”
